IND vs WI 2nd ODI 2019: Who Will Win

India is going to face off against the West Indies in the second one day International at the Queen’s Park Oval in Trinidad. The first ODI had got washed off due to persistent rains. Both teams would thus like to register a win as this is a three match series only.

Playing XI for India

India is very likely to continue with the same team as the first ODI.The top order will again consist of the trio of experienced Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan and Virat Kohli (captain). With the selectors keen on giving opportunities to young players, we can expect the likes of Shreyas Iyer,Khaleel Ahmed and Rishabh Pant (wicketkeeper) to be the obvious inclusions.

Ravindra Jadeja is again expected to be the allrounder in chief with the company of Kedhar Jadhav.India may be inclined to include Yuzvendra Chahal if the pitch shows sign of spin. The pace battery should consist of Bhuvneshwar Kumar, Mohammad Shami and Khalil Ahmed.

Playing XI for West Indies

The young West Indian side has shown promise over the course of this year, but has failed to deliver in crunch situations.Having lost both the T20 Internationals earlier, the team is expected to fire back.

Top order should consist of Chris Gayle, Evin Lewis, Shai Hope (wicketkeeper) and Nicholas Pooran.Middle order is strong and represented by the likes of allrounders Shimron Hetmyer, Roston Chase, Jason Holder and Carlos Brathwaite.Core bowlers should be Cottrell, Roach and Allen.

Pitch Conditions

The pitch is expected to be on the slower side as has been the trend this season.Side adapting to the slowness and adjusting well is likely to ace the competition.

Who Will Win

By every possible means, India looks a well balanced side with the right mix of players.West Indies too look great on paper but their on field performances have been below par so far.Our vote thus definitely goes with India.
