This includes iOS, macOS, Windows, and Android-based devices. Users can also use the app to connect to their friends’ consoles. Once the PS Remote Play app is on your PC, you can establish communication by linking it to your console in sleep mode.

The app is compatible with all versions of Windows.

Sorry for the late response, but hopefully this helps anyone else who comes across this page.

Here is the documentation for setting up remote play on PS5 with Windows: https://remoteplay.dl.playstation.net/remoteplay/lang/en/ps5_win.html

In my experience, I’ve had similar issues with remote play on PS4 with several verification/connection issues and lag during streaming. The following should apply to both consoles. Make sure to log in to your PSN account and activate your PS4/PS5 as your primary console. (PS4: go to Account Management, PS5: Users and Accounts). I also had to switch/reconfigure my network settings to improve the stability and fix the random disconnects.

Try switching to a wired connection if you haven’t already or getting a stronger wireless signal to your console.
