Dr. Stone is a Japanese anime series written by Riichiro Inagaki and produced by TMS Entertainment. The show first aired in 2019 from July to December.
Initially, it streamed on Crunchyroll, followed by the Adult Swim network.

Dr.Stone Season 1 Revisited
The story revolves around the regular student lives of Senku and Taiju. It has a new take on the apocalyptic world and how the pre-disaster events of petrification take place.
After 3,700 years of the petrification of the human population into stone, Senku Ishigami wakes up to find the current situation.
He learns that nitric acid helped him revive from the stone condition. This leads to him reviving his friend Taiju Oki and classmate Yuzuriha Ogawa.
All of them are set on a mission to rebuild the planet.
Additionally, he revives a martial artist Tsukasa Shishio for help along the way. But, he is against the idea of restoring the old population.
Moreover, he is keen on creating a new world free from corruption. This results in a war between the Senku’s Kingdom of Science and the Empire of Might Tsukasa.
Finally, Senku’s Kingdom of Science wins the war. But, they are up against a tribe known as the Petrification Kingdom who has the device used to petrify the humans.
The new season will follow the newfound enemy and battles between them.
Release date of Dr. Stone Season 2
The first season got aired on 5 July 2019, with 24 episodes divided into two parts. A second season was announced right after the finale of season one.
The new season is expected to release by the mid of 2020. However, the production has not specified an exact date.
The second season will focus on Stone wars and more scientific insights.
Not much about the plot is out there yet.
As mentioned previously, a fight between Senku and the tribal people of the Petrification Kingdom is expected to be the main highlight of the upcoming season.
