Top Ten Must-Binge Anime Series on Netflix

While the world halts to a standstill, why not Netflix and chill with some beautifully drawn anime series episodes? Fall in love and fall back on your couch all in one sitting. We all know how insanely good these Japanese-penned creations can be!

With an overwhelming variety of anime selections right at your fingertips, it can be hard to settle on just one. Do not fear! We are here to help you out.

In no particular order—because we are BIG anime fans ourselves—here are our top ten picks:

1.Pokemon

Maybe you’ve heard of this little thing called Pokemon. It was but a humble video game a few years back. Now, it is a global franchise.

We all grew up with the series featuring Ash and Pikachu’s adventures. Why not relive your childhood with them while you’re stuck on your couch?

As you may have heard, after years and years of trying, Ash Ketchum finally won a Pokemon league late last year. Go on and see how he got there!

2.Naruto

Here’s another behemoth in the anime world. Naruto is a childhood staple whichever part of the world you may be in over the past few years.

That is why there have been over 700 episodes encapsulating his journeys, and you can watch the anime or read manga. We are not even counting the many other iterations of his character in manga, video games, and films.

Naruto never gets old. Literally. His journey towards becoming a Hokage is timeless.

And, no matter how many bumps along the road there may be, he never fails to make us laugh and root for him. Who would have thought that being a ninja could be this fun?

3.Inuyasha

We’re still on the classics with this one. What makes InuYasha so binge-able, you might ask? Well, it’s been twenty years since its first episode has aired.

And still, it is the perfect blend of action and comedy that will keep you on your toes.

Follow along with the half-demon InuYasha in his epic cross-country journey to collect some magical jewel shards. With 193 episodes in total, you’ll be in for quite an adventure.

4.Hunter x Hunter

It’s hard to believe that the first episode of the original Hunter x Hunter series aired over two decades ago today. It has also been almost ten years since the revamp was released as well. Damn, are we really getting that old?

The 2011 version of Hunter x Hunter is largely considered as the more superior run of the popular series. With a touch of a button on your Netflix app, watch Hunter work on following his father’s footsteps all over again—with better storylines and lighting this time around!

5.Your Lie in April

Let’s move on to some more recent works. This 2014 anime series is nothing less than a work of art.

With only 22 episodes, it’s a shorter watch than the previous entries on this list. However, it is sure to stay with you way beyond the final end credits scene.

We won’t spoil the ending for you. You will have to watch it for yourself.

Take a break from all of the action and adventure, and devour on this contemporary slice-of-life drama about two musicians that will truly tug at your heartstrings.

6.Carole & Tuesday

While we’ve got you intrigued with the premise of Your Lie in April, why not try another musical anime offering? Carole & Tuesday was released just last year!

Trust us about this. There is a lot of buzz around it. We’ve brought you back. Now, we’re taking you into the future.

Carole & Tuesday is a series that is way, way ahead of its time. Having been directed by the man behind by the equally-as-astonishing Cowboy Bebop, there is no wonder.

It is set years ahead in the future, in a world where music is created by lifeless machines rather than humans. Can you imagine?

7.Aggretsuko

Our next pick stays in tune with our love for music. Aggretsuko is… something. It is definitely not like any anime series you have watched before. And that is exactly why it’s on our must-binge list of best Anime on Netlfix!

Aggretsuko stars a red panda rather than a human, but you’ll probably relate to her more because of it. She represents every tired millennial that is simply trying to survive.

Her coping mechanism? Heavy metal. Emphasis on the heavy.

8.Death Note

And now we’re back to tried and tested fares that will definitely not disappoint you when you add them to your list. Death Note is one of the best Anime on Netflix. With good reason.

Good murder-mystery series are hard to find nowadays, with most tending to lean on the shock factor of it all rather than the substance. Death Note is an immensely thrilling ride all throughout.

You will always be at the edge of your seat when you try to encode all of the clues tucked inside the titular notebook.

9.Revisions

You won’t find this anime series anywhere else! Over the last few years, Netflix has been in the business of acquiring good, original content for their platform. Revisions is one of them.

We’re back in the future with this one. Set 300 years from today, this mecha action show has at it all. Outer space, cyborgs, and a lot of adventure.

You will easily eat your way through the 12 episodes of its first season.

10.The Seven Deadly Sins

The last—but not the least!—on this list is another Netflix original that was such a hit, it spawned THREE whole seasons.

Let’s get out of this world for a minute and enter a magical kingdom with princesses, warriors, and knights. The unlikely group of heroes in this anime series is set to start a revolution in their world.

One episode in, and you will surely want to be with them every step of the way.

Have you seen any of these anime shows? If they have been on your radar for a while, here is the sign you’ve been waiting for to go and check them out. Sit back, relax, and enjoy!
