Spinning out is an interesting American drama web television series that involves the struggles of mental health. Kaya Scodelario plays Kat Baker, a young ice skater who suffered a serious injury due to a fall that was supposed to stop her from living her dream.
She then meets Justin Davis, her new partner who gives her a new opportunity to realize her Olympic dreams. Together, they face a roller coaster on and off the ice skating rink. I have a close family member who I’ve cared for a long time and seen in manic states. I wanted to be part of something that shone a light on mental health in a realistic way, especially for young people.”
